She may be home schooled because she's super religious. She may be home schooled because she got bullied in school. She may be home schooled because school wasn't keeping up with her intellect. I personally know people who have done all of these things, so please, don't fall prey to pathetic stereotypes. This question is like asking, "What do I have to know about girls who attend school? It's kind of funny edit: Just from the first time I met her I knew something was different about her, so you saying there is no difference is wrong. Some of the people you know may be more normal and not follow the "stereotypes" but there are plenty of others who might.

Either that being said, this thread wasn't even to say "tell me their stereotypes", I wanted to know from people what experiences they had and what lines there should be. She could have gone to Catholic school, boarding school, anything else. Just saying you knew something was different pats yourself on the back to think that you were catching onto her homeschooling rather than her actual personality and experiences that shaped her life.

Yes, stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason. And if you give two craps about this girl's humanity you won't approach her via stereotypes. Let's look at stereotypes: Whites are racist, girls only care about their looks, boys only care about sex and have no emotional capabilities, blacks are lazy, Mexicans are illegals, older people can't be trusted to work new technology, young people don't give a crap about responsibility. Now tell me that you're honestly going to approach another human being who fits into any of those categories and use the corresponding stereotype as a basis.

I'm hoping and assuming that you've been around enough people to know better than to do that. I'm hoping and assuming, for example, that you've met enough girls to know that assuming they are obsessed with physical features is a faux pas. Just like girls treating boys like they only want sex would be a faux pas. You want to be approached as an individual human being, don't you?

Or should she just assume you just want to get into her pants? Stereotypes are simply not a good basis for approaching a person. Your best shot is not to ask us about her but ask her about her. That's not a response at all what I said, but that's okay. This train of thought derailed a while ago and we're clearly no longer on the same page. Best of luck to you and your new lady.

Finding the One

The home school girl I dated was a very religious taekwondo black belt who thought it was appropriate to punch her boyfriend in the balls. In the four months we "dated" she would never let me kiss her saying that it was too special to share with me As a 20yr girl who was homeschooled I can tell you it's super fucking lonely.

Homeschool dating

Church once a week was my only social interaction for about 7 years and no friends, as a result I had pretty severe anxiety and depression. Once I was done with school I started working as a barista and meeting people and realized not everyone is a psychopath who is gonna condemn you to hell if you 'sin' or decide that you don't want to make babies all your life. I don't know where I'm going with this but basically don't judge her super harshly and remember that she probably didn't choose to be homeschooled her parents probably did.

That's really the answer I'm looking for, just to confirm my thoughts. I'm not going to judge her cause clearly it wasn't her choice. I just kinda feel bad though but I feel like it's bad that I feel bad. I also want to know what social limits she might have I totally know what you mean. I probably would have thought I was pretty fuckin weird if I'd met the younger version of myself.

I never liked bad boys. I never even liked popular trendy athletic guys. We saw them all over the place.

I went to community college classes during my highschool years and got hit on by them all the time. We found them boring, typical and lacking in truly attractive qualities. It was something deep and hard-wired. I could not like bad-boys. The second a boy showed some morally ambiguous characteristic my interest waned. I liked the smart boys, the good boys, and the boys with unshakable sweetness. You have no idea how much heartache this has saved me. I have seen so many girls sucked into the allure of boys with pretty faces and no idea how to have a relationship.

Meanwhile I had my pick of nerds, whose big thankful eyes would stare longingly into mine — unable to understand how they snagged a cute girl who plays dungeons and dragons, likes to talk philosophy and scifi and is enamored by their ability to reprogram a computer. I became a queen, the lone girl in group after group of smart, sweet and dedicated boys. And now — well — the benefits never ended. I have a keen ability to understand nerdy guys — who by the way turned into gorgeous creatures — having grown into their looks and abilities they are prime targets for the girls who ignored them highschool.

Yay for nerdy guys! And the only other person I knew who shares this preference with me is my sister. I hope to be raising 2 future nerdy guys for all those homeschooled girls out there! Never caught the nerd bug…sports unifroms just turn me on a lot more: I have to laugh at myself as I read this and feel encouraged as a mother.
